I self-ship and have characters with problematic backgrounds. I also like to ship my OCs with characters that create an age gap relationship. I will put any relevant trigger warnings on the tops of character pages. |

About |
---|
“Living life fun and fancy-free” is TJ’s motto. They are a calm individual who always has their head in the clouds. Scatterbrained and very clumsy, they always seem to have a fresh bump or bruise on them, making their friends feel as if they have to keep their eye on them 24/7! Despite their flaws, they are kindhearted and incredibly empathetic, always willing to help others or be a shoulder to lean on. Friends back home call them “everyone’s Official Conscience”. |

Biography:TJ was born in Sunnyvale, a village not far away from Happy Valley. Their parents were a wind fae (father) and a human (mother), both avid charity workers. The duo were always working hard to help others, sometimes to their detriment. They instilled in TJ the idea that helping others is always the right thing to do, even when it’s hard. They were often very poor and would rely on friends and neighbors to house and feed them. TJ’s parents would sometimes go on long journeys and leave them behind at a friend’s home, which is how they became so close to Cole, Tuck, Carlo and Camillo. One day, their parents dropped them off at a nearby orphanage and disappeared, never to be seen again. Adults told TJ that they had gone on a dangerous job and passed away in an accident, but whispers around the village told that they simply chose their jobs over their child and decided to run away together.TJ grew up surrounded by younger children, and began to act as an older sibling to them, often watching the children when adults weren’t around and helping them with daily tasks like teeth-brushing and bathing. As they got older, they took on more responsibilities and began to help out around the orphanage by cooking, cleaning and teaching the younger children outside of school. Being that they were half-fae, they were also sometimes invited to fae functions, and would travel around with the village leader, a light faerie named Madonna Bluesummer. When they were 9 years old, their magic began to manifest. They realized that if they focused hard enough, they could control a person’s emotions, which often helped when calming down crying children and putting them to sleep at night. They began to practice their skill and created their Unique Magic, Fun and Fancy Free. When it was found out that they had magic potential, their guardians pressed them to apply to a magic school. They were able to get in on a scholarship and were sent away from home at age 14.At school, they struggled. They had a hard time talking to people their age, and so didn’t have many friends. Despite their tremendous effort to study and their good grades, they could never get perfect scores, which weighed on them. They studied harder, which made them more burnt out, which made their grades slip. After a couple of years, their grades were so poor and they were so high-strung that they began to use their Unique Magic on themselves to stay awake longer and be happy during the day. At the peak of their mental and physical exhaustion, they accidentally Overblotted, hurting a handful of students in the process.TJ was immediately expelled from school while recovering from their injuries. During their healing days, they were visited by a strange fae who called himself Dire Crowley. He offered to transfer them to NRC, should they decide to continue pursuing magic.TJ returned home to a cold reception and began to shut themselves away from people. No one except their closest friend Cole was able to speak with them during this time- he helped them heal and turned them to the internet to pass the time. As time passed, they began to learn new things about the world, changed their name and their appearance, and began to use they/them pronouns in secret. The people in their village were not welcoming of this change, and in fact fought against it. TJ knew they had to get out of Sunnyvale again somehow. Not long before they turned 19, a strange stage coach appeared to take Cole away to NRC. Remembering the offer they’d gotten from Crowley, they followed soon after. Because it was already well into the school year, they were placed in Ramshackle house, along with a non-magic human and a magical cat. Thus, their days at Night Raven College began…

Biography:Cole was born in Sunnyvale to a well-known magi-scientist and his wife. His father’s family was well-know throughout Twisted Wonderland for his inventions that combined technology with magic. As a consequence, the Pinwood family was quite well-off and lived comfortably. Cole’s mother was a stay-at-home parent who dedicated herself to homeschooling, and would even watch other neighborhood children. She was good friends with a wind fae who also had a child, named [redacted], who would sometimes live with them when their parents went away for work.Tragically, Cole’s mother passed away from illness when he was just 6 years old, and his father followed soon after from a broken heart. He was placed in the care of his paternal grandfather, who owned an orphanage in the village. He was not especially social and kept to himself, preferring to study and read. His grandfather would spend time with him on occasions and teach him how to whittle figures and shapes from wood.Even without his parents around, many people in Sunnyvale knew who he was and expected that he would follow in his family’s footsteps; his grandfather was once a respected inventor, then his father. Additionally, because Cole’s grandfather had no other children or grandchildren, he intended to pass down ownership of the orphanage upon his passing. Cole began to resent all of the expectations being placed on his shoulders, and rebelled against them early in his teens.Even still, he couldn’t hide his magical talent. Magic fascinated him, and the moment he realized he had an aptitude for the arts, he began to study. He was pressured to attend a magic school at 14, but rejected the idea, not wanting to fall in line with what others asked of him.
Then, one night months after he turned 16, a horse-drawn carriage appeared at the front of his home, calling for him by name. The driver said he had been “chosen” to attend Night Raven College, far away from Sunnyvale. With the idea of getting as far away from home as possible, Cole agreed and climbed into his carriage, not knowing his life was about to change forever…
